Everything guests actually ask
Reservations, dress code, the casino floor, dietary needs, parking and deposits — the honest answers our hosts give on the phone, collected in one place.
Reservations
Tables, timings and booking rules
Tables release 90 days ahead online and by phone. Chef's Table seats release the same way but book out four to six weeks ahead on weekends.
We keep a portion of the bar and terrace for walk-ins every service. Friday and Saturday dinner books out — a reservation is the only guarantee.
Two hours for parties up to four, two and a half for larger groups, three and a half for the degustation. Nobody is hurried — we simply book the table again after you.
Call us — we hold tables for fifteen minutes past the booking. After that the table may be released and any deposit converts to a gift voucher rather than being lost.
Dress & Etiquette
What to wear and how the room runs
Smart casual from lunch onward. Evenings ask guests to avoid beachwear, work boots, high-vis and ripped denim. Jackets are appreciated, never required.
Until 20:00, yes — there is a real kids' menu, high chairs and a weekend games corner. After 20:00 the room shifts to adults-only dining.
Please do — plates arrive camera-ready. We only ask that you skip flash and keep other guests out of the frame. Staff will happily take your table's photo.
Corkage is $35 a bottle for wine not on our list. Celebration cakes are welcome — the pastry team will plate them for a $10 service fee with advance notice.
The Casino Floor
Gaming rules for dinner guests
Yes — the restaurant sits inside SkyCity and the floor is a one-minute walk from your table. Guests must be 18 or over and carry valid photo ID for gaming areas.
Table games and slots are open to all adults — no membership needed. The SkyCity rewards program is free at the door if you want to earn points on the night.
Our casino VIP packages include a hosted 90-minute intro with a floor guide — rules, etiquette and low-stakes tables to learn on.
SkyCity follows South Australian responsible gambling codes — trained staff, self-exclusion options and mandatory breaks. Gaming help is available at every bar and the host desk.
Dietary & Menu
Allergies, preferences and the degustation
Tell us at booking and the kitchen pre-plans your courses before you arrive. On the night your waiter confirms every plate. Severe allergies are flagged to the chef personally.
Yes — the seven-course menu runs vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free at the same $165. The garden half of the menu was designed for exactly this.
We are not certified halal or kosher. Many grill dishes can be prepared to halal-style requirements with 48 hours' notice — call the team to talk through specifics.
Roughly two thirds of the menu touches the mallee grill. The pastry section and a few delicate dishes use conventional equipment — but nothing leaves the kitchen that would be better microwaved at home.
Parking & Access
Getting in and out of North Terrace
The Festival Drive car park under SkyCity — free with a validated ticket from the restaurant. Valet runs Thursday to Saturday from the North Terrace entrance for $18.
Fully — lifts from the car park, step-free entry on North Terrace, accessible facilities on the dining level and hearing-loop coverage at the host desk.
Adelaide Railway Station is a three-minute walk across North Terrace; the free city tram stops at Railway Station stop directly opposite. See our contacts page for the map.
The concierge desk books taxis and rideshare pickups from the North Terrace doors, or our own sedan transfer service anywhere in metro Adelaide for $65.
Deposits & Billing
Authorisations, splits and surcharges
Only for parties of six or more and ticketed events — $50 per head, released on the night. It protects the room's small tables, not your wallet. Nothing is charged unless the party no-shows.
Cancel inside 48 hours and the authorisation releases untouched. Later cancellations convert to a gift voucher — money you can spend here, not a fee you lose. See the refund policy.
All major cards, eftpos, cash, SkyCity gift cards and pre-approved corporate accounts. Amex carries a 1.5% surcharge; everything else is surcharge-free.
Up to four ways at the table — tell your waiter when ordering so items can be tracked per seat. Functions and packages settle on a single invoice.
A host answers faster than a search box
The reservations desk runs 10:00 to 22:00 daily. Anything unusual — proposals, dietary puzzles, whole-venue buyouts — is easier by phone than by form.
